Susan Promislo joined the Office of Communications as director of communications strategy in 2016. She came to Princeton after 13 years at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where she served as senior communications officer for several program areas including childhood obesity prevention and achieving health equity.
Promislo began her career in Washington, DC, working in communications and program roles at The Aspen Institute and The Fund for Peace. She received her master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication and bachelor's degree in International Relations from Colgate University.
In her free time, she serves on the board of the Hopewell Valley Education Foundation, tries to keep up with her husband and two daughters, and somewhat futilely tries to convince her rescue cat to act like a reasonably well-adjusted family pet.
