Nick Barberio is a video storytelling professional with over 10 years of experience as a photographer and video artist. He has been a visual communications strategist for communications since 2010. Before coming to this position, Nick worked as an artist in residence for Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, where he documented all aspects of daily life in a hospital and produced almost 20,000 images for a video art installation project. In addition to exhibiting his own photography and video art projects in New York and Rome, he has also curated artistic projects in Berlin.
After receiving his Master of Arts in Education from New York University, he worked as a research assistant in the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where he documented the collection. He also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. While his main passion has been video/film editing and producing, in his spare time he has volunteered as a science explainer for the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan for 17 years and counting.
