Karin Dienst, managing editor, is a specialist in higher education communications who joined Princeton in 2002. Her main responsibility is editing stories by the writers as well as stories submitted for the homepage by communicators from across the University. Karin also collaborates on a range of projects — print to web — and offers editorial oversight. She emphasizes teamwork and creativity in exploring the countless ways to share stories about Princeton.
Before coming to Princeton, Karin was an editor at Purdue University. Previously, she worked as a journalist at a magazine in London. She earned a B.A. in English from Duke University, coming to the U.S. after graduating from the United World College of Southeast Asia in Singapore. Over the years she also has lived in Zimbabwe, Thailand and Germany. Besides travel, Karin's interests include playing soccer, reading contemporary fiction from around the world, and exploring the beauty of natural places.
