Jamie Saxon, arts and humanities writer, joined the Office of Communications in 2012 after working as a senior editor at U.S. 1 newspaper in Princeton. Before that, she worked as a senior editor at The Philip Lief Group, a nonfiction book producer, and held senior-level positions in public relations agencies in Washington, D.C., New York and Princeton.
At Princeton University, Jamie develops news and feature stories for the homepage, including partnering with the multimedia team on video features. Working with the social media team, she produces the weekly #TellUsTigers campaign — which profiles students, staff, faculty and alumni — for the University's main Instagram account and curates a Twitter account focused on the arts and humanities.
A graduate of Tufts University, Jamie is a native of Princeton. She considers herself a "story hunter" and loves ballet, the cello and memoirs. She spends her free time practicing mindfulness and yoga but never does a headstand (because she can't and that's OK), baking biscotti and other treats, and lavishing affection on her beagle, Lily.
